“People are always in good company when they are doing what they really enjoy.”

— Samuel Butler

  • Erika DeRoberts | Cherry Lane Art

    PAINTING, MIXED MEDIA, MURALS

“Art had always been the gift that I squeezed into the margins of my life, taking classes, teaching and creating whenever I could. But with the responsibilities of family life with three daughters, and a demanding corporate career, the moments of joy with art were few and far between. I looked at other artists with a mixture of awe and envy at the courage it took to live out their dreams. I was scared that my inner light and truest gift was slowly being extinguished. Perhaps it was the silver lining of the 2020 shutdown, I was finally awoken to the fact that life is so very precious and deserves to be fully lived. I left my job and allowed myself to live wholly, no longer divided between responsibilities and passion. I took some time to heal, nurture my family and travel. . .and then began creating and Cherry Lane Art was born.

I love the way that art can amplify the sacred and challenge the status quo. The arts help us to hear beyond the cacophony of this chaotic world, they unite us and remind us of our shared humanity. My favorite days are spent outside gathering inspiration and painting murals or in my studio at Good Art Co creating and translating the beauty I’ve discovered onto canvas.”

  • Allison Ford | Hello Allison Art

    PAINTING

Allison Ford is a self-exploring abstract artist who works with acrylics, graphite, paper, and remnants of art projects to create highly textural and colorful pieces. She is inspired by her children and her faith as well as organic shapes, the sky, and bright colors. She builds her art around those colors and joyful feelings. Her work has been featured on Apartment Therapy, Bliss Victoria Magazine, Hola Magazine, on HGTV’s Bargain Mansions, as well as several local publications. Her work has also been featured in the Alden Parkes Showhouse in a Showroom and Sylvester Alexander Furniture showroom at High Point Market. She enjoys working with designers and families alike to create a fresh art that resonates with real life.

  • Laura K. Aiken | Laura K Aiken Studio

Laura K Aiken creates custom watercolor home portraits and personal gifts.  She is an inspiring Southern artist-illustrator and textile designer creating fresh modern designs. Her house portraits are a popular gift for anyone celebrating a birthday, a housewarming party, as a new homeowner, or remembering Grandmother's home. They also make a fabulous corporate or realtor-client gift! Her designs are available as Archival prints (Giclee's) and for licensing and/or purchase.

“I take pride in the unique work that I produce and want you to be happy with your new artwork. Thank you so much for your interest in my woman-owned small business, it means so much!”
