SYNAPTIC
An Art Experience Celebrating Neurodiversity
SYNAPTIC is is a visionary art event with a dual mission: to foster a greater awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity and to generate financial support for The Meyer Center.
The Meyer Center empowers children with physical and cognitive differences to achieve their highest potential.
THE SHOW
SYNAPTIC celebrates the beauty of neurodiversity, the idea that everyone's brain works in its own unique way. Science confirms that each person's way of thinking, learning, and perceiving the world is distinct. This diversity is a valuable part of what makes us all human.
As you step into SYNAPTIC, you'll find yourself surrounded by an array of artworks, each one offering a new perspective on how we experience the world, from bright, eye-catching paintings that awaken the imagination to innovative sculptures that make you think and immersive audio/visual installations that draw you in and invite you to appreciate the full range of human neurodiversity.
SYNAPTIC invites us to celebrate the differences in how we understand and engage with the world around us, highlighting how these variations are natural and worthy of celebration. As an immersive art event, SYNAPTIC will be an unforgettable experience where the world of art meets the wonders of the mind.

THE MEYER CENTER
Celebrating 70 years of touching lives, The Meyer Center is a nonprofit specializing in early education and intensive therapy services to empower children with disabilities to reach their maximum potential.
The Meyer Center’s overarching goal for all students is to bridge the gap between the child with a disability and their same-age typical peers. The Meyer Center is the only place in Upstate SC where preschool-age students with disabilities can receive combined education and therapies under one roof.
Traditional school-based services focus only on a child’s success at school, while the Meyer Center focuses on making a child successful for life. Providing intensive services at a young age can change the trajectory of a child’s long-term potential in education, employment and independent living. Visit The Meyer Center website >
